Why did my card decline at checkout?
Did you receive an error while trying to make your purchase? Read on for some troubleshooting tips.
Possible reasons for a declined credit or debit card:
-
Incorrect Card Information: Please double-check your card number, expiration date, billing address, and security code to ensure accurate entry.
- Card Issuer Declined Payment: Your card issuer might have declined the payment (for any number of reasons). We recommend contacting your bank for further assistance and the reason for the decline.
- Card Issuer Security Hold: Card Issuer's commonly place a security hold on purchases they don't recognize - this is especially common for first time transactions (your first purchase with a retailer). Typically you should receive a text message (or sometimes an email) verifying that it was you attempting to place the order - sending "Yes" or "Y" is usually all it takes to verify. Just try again after that, and you should be good to go!
